PS5 Unboxing Videos Show How Big The Console Is And We're Afraid It Won't Fit In Our Homes
The PlayStation is the biggest gaming console ever made and we finally get a look at its size via unboxing videos from the internet.
Sony’s next-gen console is about to launch in several countries by November 19th and many journalists/influencers have already gotten hands on the console. The PlayStation 5 is also expected to launch in India soon and will come in two variants i.e. a digital edition and a console that supports physical discs. Both consoles have the same hardware apart from the Blu-Ray player and will retail in India for Rs 39,990 and Rs 49,990 respectively. © Twitter_IGNHowever, if you’ve been browsing the internet since last night, unboxing videos of the console have now been published and it shows exactly how big the console is. We’ve known for a while that the PlayStation 5 would be a massive console but never really got a real-life comparison of the console with previous generation consoles and even daily objects. If you are wondering why the console is so large in size, we’ve explained the reasoning behind it here.  © Twitter_Tom WarrenBut if you want a comparison of how big the console really is , check out these images shared by other publications and reviewers. To put things into perspective, the PS5 measures approximately 390mm (15.4 inches) tall, 260mm (10.24 inches) deep and 104mm (4.09 inches) wide. There are concerns that the PlayStation 5’s large size might not be ideal for entertainment consoles or TV cabinets in homes. However, the PlayStation 5 can be placed vertically or horizontally with additional support from a base that can be screwed on to the console. However, it is still larger than most people expected and it would be interesting to see how most gamers plan on placing the PS5 in their entertainment cabinets. The PlayStation 5’s launch in India has been delayed partly because of a trademark problem with the Indian authorities which has now been resolved. Sony is expected to launch the PS5 in India soon, however a release date for the console has not been set yet. We can expect the launch date to be announced soon, however it could be possible that Sony is waiting for stock to arrive and is not willing to take a chance at the moment.
