PUBG: Battlegrounds is going free to play - Polygon

PUBG will be free-to-play on Steam and consoles starting on Jan. 12, 2022, PUBG Studios announced at The Game Awards 2021. Players who already have the game will be upgraded to the new Battlegrounds Plus account feature for free.
